Taylor smiled at the screen and tucked some hair behind his ear. He clicked on his emails. He read them and shook his head disapprovingly, the majority of them were chain mail. He clicked on the MSN symbol at the bottom of the screen and his online and offline list jumped up. But it wasn't responding, so he waited to see if there was anyone online. He was wearing a pair of black trousers and a navy t-shirt that clung to him. He looked at the screen and began to tap his fingers impatiently on the mouse. He crossed his legs and then hugged them to his chest. He could smell the food his mother was cooking in the kitchen even though he was sitting in his beroom. His stomach rumbled at the smell and he felt hungry but he shook his head. Taylor was convinced he was fat. Even though everyone told him he was far too skinny he was convinced that he was blubbery. He recently decided eating was the source of his fat. So he stopped. He hadn't eaten in 2 days and he wasn't sleeping well at all. He shook his head and looked back to the computer screen.

Emily flicked through her emails and frowned. Nothing interesting, a few from MySpace and a couple of forwards from those freaks who sent her chain mail. Emily hated chain mail. A lot. She had her dark hair pushed back with her pale pink hair band. She sighed slightly and looked at her online list.
'.fear.is.*only.in.your.*mind*. has just signed into MSN' said a popup box that appeared in the bottom right hand corner of the screen. Emily smiled. Taylor. She fancied Taylor, she couldn't understand how Kelsie Halliwell could be his best friend without falling for him! He was gorgeous, caring, interesting, funny and really sweet! She smiled again and clicked on the pop up window and it took her into a new window where she struck up a conversation with him.
Miss Murder says: hi there, how are you today?
She tapped the enter key and waited for his reply with baited breath.

Taylor found himself quite surprised when a conversation was started by a girl he'd met a couple of days ago. He sat trying to remember her name before he typed back. He hated talking to people when he didn't know who they were. Emily. Emily Cooper. He smiled at his own good memory and began to type back;
.fear.is.*only.in.your.*mind*. says: Hey Emily. I feel awful. How are you?
He sent the message with a tap of the enter key and smiled as he waited for the responce, he had answered her question totally truthfully. He was starving and really tired. He felt like he was dying. He wasn't going to explain why he felt awful but if she asked he probably would say something. Most likely it would be a lie but that was another matter. As long as he didn't say 'I feel awful' and then when she asked why he didn't say 'it doesn't matter.' because that was attention seeking and he hated it when people did it to him.

Emily couldn't believe it. Taylor Sanford remembered her name. She gasped when her name appeared on the screen. She frown slightly when he said he felt awful and instantly felt sorry for him. She was sure he probably just had a cold or something but it was miserable when you felt awful.
Miss Murder says: Oh? Why do you feel awful? I'm okay thanks.
She looked at the screen with a sort of worried expression on her face and pushed up the sleeves of her back hoody. She ran a hand through her hair subconsciously and heard the movement of her foster parents down stairs. They were probably talking about her. She was one of their favourite subjects to discuss in great detail. She found it increasingly annoying and liked to eavesdrop on what they were saying about her. But she wasn't going to be eavesdropping tonight, Taylor Sanford was on MSN and she wanted to talk to him.

Taylor paused to think of something to write. He didn't want to say he was two days into be anorexic and that he hadn't slept well. The poor girl would probably die of a heart attack if she thought he was serious or hysterically laughter if she thought he was joking. Taylor's mind was groggy because of the badly broken sleep and he was finding it increasingly hard to think of something to write. He ran his fingers through his hair moving all of it away from his face and his frown deepened. He felt like signing out. Why had he said he felt awful? It would have been so much easier to lie.

He lied in response to her question. It wasn't really a lie because he didn't feel well. He frowned again and waited for a responce.

Emily looked at his responce and felt slightly put out. She had sort of hoped it would be something more dramatic. She shook her head, it was nothing. She'd got her hopes up for no reason. She smiled,
Miss Murder says: well at least it's nothing serious 
she sent her reply and felt her heart sink. So much for some sort of bonding thing.
